Today woke up pretty early and found out I have few unread messages and all were similar messages. Haiz.. Went to college for the Placements Day and met up Melissa and Jaya as others were late. 16 Australian universities including ‘Group of 8’ and 1 university from UK were participated in the annual event.
We started asking the enquiries from UTAS and I'm not interested in that uni due to some reasons so I just sat there and listened to them. Next was The University of Adelaide and I found out their core subject for the first year for B.C doesn't have a certain subject. It's quite weird as other unis do have that subject in the first year before specializing in one or more areas. However, they said it can be taken as elective subject. Haha..since it is not a core subject then what for I go and take? For fun or suffer? I rather choose the subject that I like.
Mary came at last and this girl wants to go Melbourne so she chose those universities in Melbourne such as Monash, RMIT, Melbourne U and Swinburne University of Technology. She chose Swinburne U for enquiries and my mind was full of question marks. Swinburne University of Technology? What Uni is this? Why I never heard before one? So, I was very curious then I sat down also to get more information about this uni. I read their booklet and no comment…wahahaha…cool… Too bad I can't choose this uni as it is my future and I don't think my family let me go this uni also especially my sis.
After that I accompanied Jaya to ask the courses available in TBS. A guy from TBS entertained us and Jaya is interested in Business Management so the guy asked him ‘how much do you about business management?’ Jaya said he's not very sure. Then he said ‘oh, that's very dangerous…bla bla bla..’ Again… this guy used to entertain me when I enrolled for the pre-u programme. He never changed, still the same but today I got to boom him. haha..
Buford and I went to ask the courses available in The University of Queensland and this guy wants to study Bachelor of Economics and TER requirement is 90. Meet you there la if we got fate. The TER requirement for my desire course is much lower than the B.Econ.
Went to AC for lunch with a number of classmates and back to college again after lunch for further information. Get information from Macquarie, Newcastle, Monash, QUT, UniSA, UNSW and Melbourne U. Some of the student advisors couldn't answer my questions as they said they are not expert in commerce. After attended the event, I roughly know about which U I'm going next time.
