Today was pretty busy as I just came back from college after having dinner with my law friend. I went to watch Taylor’s Law Debate Finals at 3 p.m but the debate only started at 4 p.m due to one of the adjudicators was late as he is a judge in Court of Appeal. Although my ambition is not becoming a lawyer but I still went to watch as the topic was interesting. The two teams in the finals were Taylor’s College and Inti College. The topic of the debate was ‘protecting the public from terrorism is more important than civil liberties’.
Taylor's Law Debate Finals
With the bulk of the numerous of Taylor’s supporters cheering every speakers after they stood their stance as they spoke well no doubt they added a lot of nonsense in the beginning part.
Taylor’s College Law School won eventually and it’s a predictable result as the Inti College didn’t perform their best to the audiences. One sad thing for Taylor’s was they couldn’t win the best debater award or else they will make a clean swept in the competition. The best debater is Inti first speaker. She won a cash prize of RM2000 and a half scholarship of Master of Law in The University of Reading, UK. She was stunned when the chairperson announced the winner.
Champions - Taylor's College
Runners-up - Inti College
